Rational Comics – Breathing life into knowledge

Here at Rational Comics, we visualise ordinary quotes, stories and urban legends, transforming them into inspiring works of art that will entertain, motivate and teach you. We believe that inspiration is everywhere, and that there is a lesson or story in every one, so we do our best to illustrate what we can learn in each tale.

We also put a lot of effort into sourcing for intriguing stories to tell, and focus on producing unique comics with many nuances. Although there is a main message in each one, we believe that our readers will come away learning so much more. We hope you will be able to learn and grow with each Rational Comic you read.

Our comics are done by a different artists, each with their own distinct styles that suit the themes of each comic. They present their best work and it is evident in each panel.

We hope you will appreciate their fantastic work as much as you are charmed by it.

Joshua Sim - Creative Head

I mainly do the idea generation and story-boarding for the comics. I also double up as the webmaster for the site.

I've always liked comics. I've read all kinds since I was a kid, and I've come to look upon them fondly. Along the way, I discovered that comics could be easy way of gaining knowledge -- the visual language of comics complemented the words to flesh out challenging concepts. The more I read, the more I began to see that creating comics was a way for authors, thinkers and entrepreneurs to reach out to people and teach them what they know, which led me to think of making this website. With Rational Comics, these illustrators and I would like to impart knowledge to people with short attention spans, or others who find reading non-fiction intimidating.
